Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

After 13 yrs, my ex and I finally got a paternity test that is admicible in court, proving he is not the father of my daughter. Can we go before the courts ourselves to stop the child support, we agreed to just get the test done, stop the support and go our seperate ways. I have another father that I am sure he is the father, but I can't file on him until this case is dismissed. Can we?

I believe that you are in Harris County Family Courts.

You need to talk to an experienced family law attorney.

This case is not as easy as you think. Sorry!

No judge is going to remove the father and then just close the case.

If you died the child would be an orphan. Can you imagine the bad publicity the judge would receive if you died -- the judge would never get re-elected for allowing a child to be an orphan with no other parent on his/her birth certificate?
