Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am 44 yrs old and I recently found out that my biological father, (who has NEVER paid child support to my sister and I), has terminal cancer. My father's wife forbid him to see us or have any contact with us and of course he did abide by her rule. Please let me know what rights we have as his daughters to any of his properties or funds.

Sincerely,

Irene

P.S. I don't have money at this time to give but I am willing to pay if you can be of help to me, I will find a way to pay for your time. Please don't think this is of no importance to me because I cannot afford it at this time.

1. If he dies without a will, you may inherit part of his property via intestate succession. If he makes a will that leaves everything to his current wife, then you get nothing.

2. Child support (back child support) is owed to the MOTHER, not to you. The child support arrearage isn't something that creates any rights in you.
