Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Abandonment

My husband has recently moved to a different country to study. He left me here with no concern for my financial stability. Is there any law in Texas about spousal abandonment?

Re: Abandonment

You can file for divorce on the grounds of abandonment. However, if your referring to getting an order for spousal support as a part of the divorce, you might qualify for it, but it would be worthless - unenforceable outside this country.
