abandonment

my husband took our son 2 months ago. i know where he is but he will not return. i have to pay all the house bills, and the car note. can i state he abandoned these responsibilities so he can not come back later and take them from me? if so how long must he be gone until i can do this? thank you soo much.

You need to file for divorce and ask the Court to order him to help you pay the joint bills.
