Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Abandonment Question

My wife and I have been seperated for six months and we are about to start divorce proceedings. Since we have been seperated I have paid the mortgage, both car notes all bills and child care. I am going to have to stop doing this because I am financially going broke. I have my own apartment also. If I stop paying all of this before the divorce can she file abandonment charges on me? While the divorce is going on I plan to pay her child support and also half of the house until she either gets it in the divorce decree or we sell it. Any information would be appreciated.

Re: Abandonment Question

No.

However, if you don't pay the bills and they get behind, it can ruin your credit.
