abandonment?

i recieve child support but my ex has not seen my child in 1 year. can i sue him for abondment is there a time period he has to be gone. he has moved and i dont know how to contact him wich is contempt right?

Unfortunately, no amount of law can make a person into a responsible parent.

What objective would you have in suing him?

If you're still receiving child support, couldn't you contact him at his place of employment?
