Re: Abandonment...What Can I Do?

There is little you can do, unfortunately, except document his behavior over time. That may mean just keeping a diary which says he has no contact and has avoided or ignored opportunities.

The issue could become important later when child support and visitation are dealt with by the court.

There is no legal way to force a man to become a good father. That's a shame.

Re: Abandonment...What Can I Do?

It's not clear what you want to do. There is no legal way to force him to visit the children. If you want to terminate the parental rights, you would likely lose the right to child support because he would be removed as the father. If you want to prevent him from seeing the children, you could show his failure to visit as a reason; then it would be up to the judge to decide to not allow him any visitation. That way, you could still receive child support.
