Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I have a abnormal situation don't know where to turn, So I guess it is more than just a question.. I have been with my husband 17 years - 7 years ago he had an accident and has been a quadraplegic since. We owned at that time a construction company. When the accident happened, he had me put the company in my name. I was also working at a company for 7 years. Then it became impossible for him to do the construction company, we couldn't make the money with him not physically doing the work. So he found some land we bought it in April of 2004 and built a 10,000 square foot tire store, we had the construction loan from the bank... This company is also in my name dba. everything debt and assets are in my name. I quit my job of 7 years to help run it and take care of him.. As this is what we have done for 6 years now. Our place is worth allot of money but also allot of debt. I have remained his caretaker and Office manager of the company. Since he is a very controlling person, I have no authorazation or say in company I have taken about 15 years of mental abuse. I want or need for my health and mental well being walk away, But somehow I need this all out of my name and SS# so I can somehow start over, I am almost 50 years old. I have the support of his family and most who have witnessed this abuse, And my doctor has watched my health decline to the stress and mental abuse... I need advice of even where to begin, he is very mean and vendictive person, I do have full Power Of Attorney over him. I just want to get away from all this abuse.. Can I just get guidance in what to do.

This website is not an appropriate place to try to answer all of your questions. You need to sit down with an experienced family law attorney to discuss the many issues you have. You have many complex legal issues that need to be addressed. No competent attorney would attempt to try to address your questions via this (or any) website.
If you want a consultation, I charge $2 per minute to sit down with you. It appears from your zip code that you are in the Houston area. You can email me at [email protected] for an appointment.
Please be advised that the Annual Advanced Family Law seminar is coming up in San Antonio and many family law attorneys are going to be out of town the week of August 9th.
