Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

How do I abtain child support order on father I was not married to?

My nine year olds father is currently in a Texas Prision and I would like to know how to go about getting a child support order so that when someday he gets out of prision he will have to start paying child support. I was not married to her father and I have been her sole support for the past 7 years. If he is not going to pay child support how can I have him give up his rights as a parent so that I may have my current spouse legally adopt her?

For cs, you will need a paternity action to establish

the parent child relationship and install a court

order for child support. For termination, you need

a petition requesting termination. If you terminate, he

will not owe additional cs after the date of the

termination.
