Adopted Children and Heirship

If a child is given up for adoption does he still retain rights of heirship of his biological mother ?

In general, yes. Most adoption orders establish the legal relationship with the adoptive parents without denying the child heirship rights to the biological parents. The adoption order should specifically address that issue.
