Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Who am I?

I was adopted several times until my

final adopted mother did so in

September 24th 1984. The problem

lies in that she passed away May

29th, 2006. For the most part of my

life I did not know where I was born

at, what state or country I was even

born in. She told me just before she

passed away that she had no

adoption papers for me or my

brother. I am now 32 years old and

have no social security number to

work with. What are my options and

how do I start finding myself? I have

tried several ''people search'' places

without any avail. Please help!

Re: Who am I?

You will have to start with affidavits and documentation for obtaining a declaration of a birth record. These can come from people who knew you as a child, and school, baptismal records etc. Once you obtain a birth certificate, the remainder will flow from there. An attorney may be able to expedite this process for you. Good luck.
