Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Adoption
If you adopt out of Texas which is where we are residents can you get a home study done in Ohio? What the deal is we are living in Ohio temporarily for my husbands job so we are trying to see if we can get the home study done up here and just get it mailed or faxed to Texas. Is that possible?

Re: Adoption
There should be an agency that does that sort of work for the Ohio courts. If so, the Texas court can appoint that agency to do the study.

Re: Adoption
Maybe. It would depend on several factors including whether or not it meets the Texas standards for such things. You really need an attorney to help you with this adoption and advise you about things like this. Good luck.
