I would like to know about my attorneys rights. I needed a attorney for a adoption case and now i want to dismiss her cause of the expenses. Can my attorney keep any of my discrete information about my case if i leave her? And i need to know if she is able to use that info on my case agaisnt me to help someone else that may be requesting info on my case?

Your attorney is bound to confidentiality, unless you waive that confidentiality. The Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct can be found on the website of the State Bar of Texas. If violated, the attorney not only risks her license, but the information would be legally inadmissable. When you review the rules, note that there are exceptions, and in some cases the attorney is allowed (sometimes required) to reveal certain information.
