You need to retain an attorney to represent you. The parents should have their own attorney. If you are going to formally adopt your grandchild, then the parents' parental rights will have to be terminated. You can them proceed with the adoption. If you want a less permenent arrangement, then you can arrange to have custody of the child awarded to you, and the parents paying you childsupport. You should file a petition for termination and adoption. If biological parents are in agreement with the adoption, there should be no problem, but you need an attorney to help you do this because it is technical.
