Adoption

My husband and I are wanting to adopt a child. He has a felony record that dates back 10 years ago when he was 18. Will we be denied the chance to adopt?

It would depend on what the conviction was for. If he is a registered sex offender, for example, I don't think many courts would approve an adoption of a small child.

Be prepared - adoption is a slow process. Not impossible to do but it does require a lot of nit picky work!
