Adoption

I married my husband in April of 2007. We are interested in him adopting my son from a previous relationship. What steps do we need to take, and what procedures do we need to follow to accomplish this task? My son's biological father lives in Florida. My husband, my son, and I live in Texas.

Re: Adoption

The natural father's parental rights will have to be terminated. Then adoption can be sought in the court that has jurisdiction because of any prior orders. You should get a lawyer for this.
