Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

adoption

Can a mother interfear with an adoption of her 18 year old sons soon to be baby? My husband and I are planning to adopt a baby that is due to be born March 16, 2009. Both the mother and the father of the baby are in agreement of this. but the grandmother of the child is wanting to keep it herself and the mother and the father are not in agreement to that. Is their anything legally the grandmother can do since the parents of the child are not wanting her to have it?

Re: adoption

Legally, the grandmother has no standing to interfere. Of course, as you know, she can try to influence their decision.
