Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

adoption

My parents adopted my son in 1968, with me thinking I was signing ''custody'' papers. (I was 18.)

Because my dad was divorcing my mom, he told me I ''could'' come & get my son; however, I never pushed reversing the adoption.

I now want this reversed, before my parents pass on. They are 82. My son would keep the name they changed it to, due to ''life in general''.

How do I go about this?

Re: adoption

I have never practiced in this area however, my first guess would be for you to adopt your son. There is a provision in the probate code for adoption of adults.

You need to contact a lawyer for the details.
