affidavit in divorce

my husband said he filed for divorce, then he said he filled out an affidavit i'm assuming he told them it was uncontested and he has no funds to pay for fees- my question is if he has filed out an affidavit and he also said he just answered lawyers questions ,but if this is true has he actually petitioned for divorce because i want to do this ,but not sure what he has actually done-please help thank you

Contact the local District Clerk and ask them to check their records and see if the divorce has been filed.
