Age at which a child may choose a parental conservator

12http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/statutes/tocs/fa015300toc.htmlAt age 12, a child may choose which parent the child desires to be the managing conservator, subject to court approval as detailed in the Family Code, subject to the rules of the family code. Please see the hyperlink to take you to the family code. A child even younger than 12 can be interviewed by the court and what that child says to the judge can also make a large impression on the court.
