what age do u have to be to pick which parent you whant to live with after your parents get divorced?

You don't get to actually choose until you are 18; however, once you are 12, you can file a Preference with the court, and the judge will consider your opinions. One of the attorneys involved can also ask the judge to conference with you without your parents present.
