age to move out

i know the legal age in NE is 19 but if

my friend visited TX where the legal

age is 17 could they legally stay and

get their own place and their

parents not be able to do anything

because they are in the border of TX

and they are 17, the legal age?

That depends upon whether NE willing to issue a capias for the kid's return, and if they are willing to come to Texas to pick her/him up.

It also begs the question of, how is a 17 yr old going to establish residence in Texas, since they can't sign a contract or lease until they are 18 years old? Without establishing residence, it just verifies the NE runaway status.
