When my husband and I get a divorce, how do I get alimony?

During the pendency of the divorce, you may qualify for temporary alimony, if you request the court to enter temporary orders for such. As far as post divorce alimony, that is set forth in a limited fashion under the Texas Family Code, and it would depend upon whether you met the statutory qualifications for alimony and other facts/factors specific to your case or circumstance.
