alimony termination laws

i got a divorce 1 year ago. my x wife was gratted alimony because we were married for 14 yrs. i also have three choldren age 13-12-5 that i pay support to. she recently had a lover move in with her and he is staying there on a day to day basis. i was to pay for 2 yrs. ending on 9-01, unless she gets married or dies, ect. should i have to keep paying although he is living there and what do i need to do to stop paying her without contempt of a court order.

Re: alimony termination laws

Unless the divorce decree provides for termination of the alimony for the residence of a live in lover, then you would have to seek to modify the order on that basis. I wouldn't predict success on that attempt. However, you might be able to remove the children from such an environment in the best interests of the children. You might have an opportunity for success on that front.
