Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

allimony texas

how long do you have to be married in the state of texas to recieve allimony and doesnt it count for anything that i completely supported him while he was in college and waiting for his paper 5 & 1/2 years from immagration to be obtained because the month after he got citizenship he split and i am not allowed to contact him because he will get fired and he won't give me any info where he is so we cannot work anything out. Is there anything i can sue him for because there has been some major mental abuse.

I'm sorry. You have to be married at least 10 years to get alimony. You can certainly file foe divorce and seek the recovery you mention. A really good & creative attorney might surprise all of us. Good Luck.
