Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Me and My ex have alternate custody of my daughter for the past 3 years. We have nothing in writing stating that though. I have her one week and my ex has her the next and so on. I provide everything for my daughter at both households and have for the past 3 years. I also pay all medical cost, including insurance each month. We each have her an equal amount of time. Just recently my ex had twin boys and their father does nothing to support them and therefore my ex is having a rough time paying bills. And now she has decided to file child support papers on my when she pays for absolutley nothing for my daughter i pay for everything. What are my chances of having to pay child support if we have her equal amount of time and i already provide everything for her at both households?

You are very likely going to be ordered to pay child support, but that will be the limit of what you have to provide. A standard support order will require you to pay:
1. Guideline child support,
2. Insurance premiums for the child; and
3. 50% of reasonable and necessary medical expenses not covered by health insurance.
On the other hand, you won't have to pay a dime more than that if you don't want to. When your ex calls up whining that she needs money to buy something for the child, you can just tell her NO, that's what child support is for.
I'm sorry this has turned ugly for you. Good luck!!
