Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

What is the amancipation laws for texas?

I was wondering what the laws for amancipation in Texas were because my home life is stressing me out to the point of a mental break down. If it is possible please get back to this e-mail, because I really need to know cause if I can't find anything out my only other option is to runaway for a long, long time.

Please help!

Re: What is the amancipation laws for texas?

You need to read the Texas Family Code available on-line to see if you qualify to be emancipated.

Texas Family Code

Title 2 - Child in Relation to the Family

Subtitle A - Limitations of Minority

Chapter 31 - Removal of Disabilities of minority

Section 31.001 - Requirements

You will need to read the entire section.

I find that most teen-agers cannot qualify for being emancipated.

I charge a minimum of $2,500 to begin the process.

I cannot guarantee that you will have your disabilities removed.

Good luck!
