Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Annullment/Divorce- Expiration of 20 Days

I filed for divorce on 4-12-05, repsondent was served 4-13-05. The Monday following the 20 days expiration was 5-9-05. Respondent filed a counterclaim on 5-10-05. Is he allowed to do so considering he waited past the expiration time? Also in the counterclaim respondent alleges fraud and prays that I will pay his attorney fees. Do I have any recourse?

I suggest you hire an attorney immediately.

Your 61 day waiting period had not run.
