Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Annulment

I got married Aug. 4th I want to get an annulment,he changed and became an angry person - i dont want a divorce because this would be my second and I am only 33 yrs old. Can i file an annulment instead? he has agreed, also what is needed and what is the cost? we have no kids, we have a home but its under my name only and he is not named anywhere. How does the splitting of assets & furniture work?

Re: Annulment

Annulments are available when the marriage is procured by fraud; maybe his hidden personality would qualify. Also, the marriage must not have been consummated. That usually disqualifies most efforts at annulment. You will probably have to get a divorce. Only assets and property acquired after the marriage are subject to division.
