Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

annulment?

I got married to a military man in May and have found it was a big mistake. Can I have this annuled or do I have to go through the divorce process? It was consumated.

Re: annulment?

It doesn't appear that it would matter under the law that it was or wasn't consumated. Military personnel can delay divorces while they are stationed abroad, but it appears that you will need to divorce. You haven't listed a reason for annulment, but consult with a family law attorney to make sure you're not missing something.
