Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I need to get an answer in 3 weeks
If my parents consent to it, am I able to live alone with my parents paying for my apartment and the utilities and insurance and, all the basic costs? or would it be illegal? My parents are moving to Europe and they said I would have to find an alternative if I did not want to go. I am responsible and I will go to school simply because I have goals. But I wanted to know if there was a legal way for me to live on my own if they are willing to pay for it? If so, how would I go about this?
Thank you for reading this and for your help, also, I am interested in moving to Texas (my parents reside there currently) and Illinois so if anything applies to laws there.

The answer to your question will depend upon your age to some extent. The suggestion of a boarding school would probably be the best options. If you stay alone and the juvenile authorities learn of your situation they may take you into custody. That would result in your being placed in a foster home. That is something you and your parents both want to avoid.

If you are 18 or older, then you can live where you want and hopefully your parents will assist in supporting you. Texas has some very good boarding schools; I went to St. Stephen's in Austin from 1979 to 1985.
