Answering a Divorce Petition

I have received a divorce petition from my spouse. I want a list of the community property and the separate property. How can I make sure that these are available prior to signing the petition. How do I answer the petition?

Let's see -- I want my property interests to be protected, but I don't know how to be sure. That is one of the prime indicators to hire an attorney - to protect yourself from someone else's deception and your own lack of expertise and experience.
