Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Appeal a judgement from a divorce

Hi, I have recently become divorced in the divorce the decree the judge ordered that I repay monies from an account that my husband and I shared. If I can show that the account was a joint account can I have that judgement reversed? If I find that there are inconsistencies in the order with reference to his income can I dispute the judgement? Can I have the judgement reversed?

Appeals are kind of expensive. I suppose you could do it yourself. I've seen it done -- occasionally effective, if you want to put the work in. You can ask the court for a re-hearing if you follow the rules. If you have followed the rules, you might be able to present the evidence you talk about.

Ditto Mr. Grissom.

You have immediate deadlines. Was this a contested hearing, or an agreed judgment? Were you represented by counsel? Was it heard by an associate judge or presiding judge? If it is worth your while to contest this matter, I would advise you to meet with an attorney immediately.
