I seriously doubt it. Adoption is very complex in the State of Texas. I only practice in Harris County & the judges here don't like being overturned so they are extremely diligent in adoptions.

Why? Because a many years ago adoptions were overturned by higher courts. Can you imagine an adoption being reversed years later & having the children returned to their biological parents that they did not know -- being ripped from the only families that they had ever known? Can you imagine the pain & horror these families went through. The Harris Counties judges have made a commitment to never have this happen again to any child. Therefore, they triple check every adoption to make sure everything is done absolutely correctly so that a higher court cannot reverse for some technicality.

Therefore, please don't try to do this on your own.

If you have no money, please try to find a pro bono service (free) in your area. Check out the State of Texas Bar Association website for free legal services in your county.

I was adopted so I applaud anyone that adopts. God's speed.
