Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hello, I was asked, by my sister-in-law, to write a letter chronicling my brothers treatment of her and their 11 year old daughter. I am in favor of her, as my brother is not a moral person and uses drugs both prescription and otherwise. I have seen him yell at her and grab her by the arm, but no other forms of violence. He is just a mean man. Other instances of the problems, which are numerous, I have only HEARD about. Please advise

Don't write any letters. They can't be used in court (unless you die) so they won't help her.
