Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Assault, Adultery, Mental Cruelty,& he filed!

My husband filed for divorce 1 year ago just days after I called police and filed charges on him for assault. I wanted him to gethelp..he has started some AA & Counseling but still raging..I didn't want the divorce but it is upon me.He has been having an affair with a woman who broke us up 8 years ago, now here she is again. His attorney is trying to rush divorce & delay assault case. What does the assault & adultery do for me? Can I slow the divorce?..my turn to win! a neighbor will testify & has pictures for me..

I recommend you discuss this in depth with an attorney.

It sounds like you have some strengths to your case,

however if he has an attorney and you do not, you may

not do as well as you may otherwise. I have seen lots

of cases similar to this, and the party without the

attorney is often not represented well.
