Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Attendance Required

Sec. 162.505 states that For good cause shown, the court may waive this requirement, by written order, if the petioner or adult to be adopted is unable to attend.

Do we submit a form to the court requesting that the adult to be adopted is unable to attend when filing initial forms or how do we go about this part of the adult adoption.

Re: Attendance Required

You are asking for specific information instructing how to practice law. Lawyers are ethically prohibited from teaching a layman how to practice law. You will need to get a lawyer to assist you (adoption is not generally a DIY procedure) or research the information in the county law library.
