Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

attorney client privilege

I was previously represented by a lawyer, who now represents a family member of mine who I will soon be in court against regarding some family law and child custody issues. this lawyer gave my address and contact info to this person without my consent. is this a breach of attorney client privilege? now they know where my children live and I have to get protective orders to keep them away from kids

You might have a conflict of interest. This IS a BIG deal with the State of Texas.

Go to the State Bar of Texas website to get the forms to file a grevience.

It is my policy, if in doubt, I pass on the case and send it to another attorney that I know and trust.

Possibly but I would need to know more facts. Nevertheless, you should file a complaint with the state bar.
