Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

attorney communication

I agree its not necessary to call everyday. But if we are waiting for a response from either the judge or other attorney, then its wrong to not be kept informed of significant case progress.

Re: attorney communication

I assume you are the one I responded to yesterday (the postings we see don't have any identifiers). I agree it's wrong not to keep you updated if something has happened, but not calling you everyday to tell you nothing has happened yet is not the same as not keeping you informed. And please remember, your attorney has absolutely no control over what the other side does or doesn't do or when they do it. Let's face it, if your ex was a wonderful, accommodating person who got along with you and who did everything (s)he could to make your life easy, you won't be in court.

Again, if you and your attorney can't work this communication issue out you really need to consider a new attorney. Good luck.
