Attorney General ofc. sign off on Child Support Case

I currently have an active case with the AG's office in Texas for child support. I'm currently doing my own divorce and I was instructed to have the AG's office sign off on the active case. Does that mean I will no longer get child support? What is the point of doing that since I have to include the amount of support i'm getting in the final decree?

If you are doing your own divorce, i presume you have studied some research materials to do this. Look up the section on consolidation of cases. You can conclude your AG case and your divorce in one case and save yourself a lot of time and effort. The child support and other remedies sought by the AG could be included in your divorce. That is why the AG should "sign off" on your divorce.
