Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

how do I know attorney is not in over head

Been to court several times to get a court order and each time the other attorney prevails. Attorney is not sure why the judge continues to side with other attorney and not sure there is a plan on our side on how to deal with it. Starting to lose confidence. What do I do? At inital interview, attorney claimed to be familiar with my type of case and knew the judges very well. Why are we losing and why isnt there an agressive plan?

There is no way anyone who is not familiar with your case can even begin to offer a guess as to what is going on in your case or why.

I always warn my clients that there are never any guarantees as to outcome in any kind of court cases, especially in family law cases.

You gave no indication why you think your attorney is in over his or her head, but it is always your right to seek other counsel if you aren't comfortable with your current attorney.
