I hired att.money i had to save im a single parent 2,000 to be exact for childmodification i really need help.May i paid attorney full amount its july. Icalled I always call!His assistance on7/11/06 said proccesor was out trying to serve him.Should this process take this long is this normal time frame.What can i do to speed up process please help im very worried i hired bad legal sevices that was my last money for help for my child.

I agree with everything that Ms. Brochstein says. I only want to add that you should not be afraid to ask the attorney the status of your case. Communications between client and attorney is often the key to avoiding concerns and stress regarding the case.

Process servers try hard to serve the court's documents, however if the Respondent avoids service the matter can get complicated and more costly, be patient and understand you may need to pay additional fees if the process server must make additional attempts at different locations

Sometimes it does take awhile to serve a person.
The process server needs to hand the documents to the person. The person is not required to touch the papers.
Usually after 3 attempts my process server calls me and let's me know.
I like to give my process server, if possible, a photo of the person to be served, and/or a physical description, his/her home address and work address along with the hours they work and the type of car including license number that they are known to drive.
