how can I help my attorney to present a good cas

i am 59 years old and have been married for 20 years to a dentist in Houston. What would be the most important things for me to give to my attorney for him to present a good case

You have a very compehensive question that can only truly be answered after talking to you personally.

Basically, all paperwork that reflects all the income coming into the house. That would include tax returns for the past 3 years. If the business is incorporated, copies of the business' tax returns too.

A list of all assets and all debts that have been accumulated since marriage and are still outstanding.

If either of you have inherited anything, that should be included but it is separate property unless it's been co-mingled.
