Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
not using attorneys, doing own divorce to save money and everything is agreed upon. have uncontested divorce in parker county, texas. spouse filed "Answer" instead of "Waiver". was told cannot set court date since Answer filed means divorce contested and will have to go to mediation. can a Waiver be filed to take the place of the Answer so this divorce can be finalized?

If everything is agreed on, you do NOT need to go to mediation. Don't worry about answers or waivers. Draft a final order, get everybody's signature on it, and go set a hearing for a "prove-up." Show the clerk the agreed final order, and she will set the "uncontested" final hearing for you.
