Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have two babies with my boyfriend and we live together. Things are not going well anymore and I want to move back home. I am from a different state. How does this work? I am not leaving without my two little boys. I know the dad will try to fight me for them.

Go home. Take your children with you.

I assume that the boys have never been the subject of a court order, and that paternity has never been legally established. I am also assuming that Dad never signed an Acknowledgment of Paternity.

If he wanted to be their legal father, he would have done something more than just keep getting you pregnant.
