Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Too old for back child support

My child is now 21 I have been fighting for child support for many years.

Ive had a file with the AG office since 1997

Is there such a law that states after a child turns 20, the deadbeat parent will not do jail time for back support?

Re: Too old for back child support

Depending on the circumstances, back child support may remain a debt owed to the now adult child. Feel free to have your son or daughter contact me if he/she feels this is an avenue he/ she would like to pursue.
