Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Backup on Child support

According to my ex wife. She has informed me that she has requested to go to court for backup child support on Jan. 30, 2009. The case has been transferred to Hays County. If I can not find an affordable attorney in time, What can I do in order to prevent any action being taken (jail time) if I am enlisting back in the service? I have applied for several jobs through the Workforce and City but I have not had any callbacks.

Re: Backup on Child support

Your posting is a little hard to understand but being able to afford an attorney or not is no reason not to appear. If there is a possibility of jail time for non-payment of support you may qualify for a court-appointed attorney. Just planning on enlisting or even actually enlisting does not mean you don't have to show up for Court.
