Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Not the Biological Father

My husband of 9 years just found out that his 6 year old is not his(there was a 50/50 chance of it not being his).He is going to file for divorce but said he will not pay child support for that child. Our other kids are his just not the 6 year old. Will the biological father be obligated to pay? I have contacted him and told him he is the father and not my husband and he does not want anything to do with her. So can he be forced to pay or will my soon to be ex-husband have to pay? I do not have the money to pay for a lawyer yet so any information will be appreciated.

Thank You

Re: Not the Biological Father

I would strongly encourage you to find the money to hire an attorney.

You have a very complicated case and you need someone to assist you in what is going to happen.

I offer a free phone consultation where I quote you my prices.

Basically, my deposit is approximately $1,000 (if husband files divorce and pays the filing fee) then a weekly payment plan.

If you live in Harris County, you should call Houston Volunteer Lawyers at 713=228-0732 and see if they will handle your case.

Good luck!
