Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Biological fathers mishaps

We had a temp custody order that was dismissed on Aug 15, 2005. We have been following the order until now. I found out that his brother is a 'registered sex offender' and is living in his home. I cannot send her over there knowing this. But my question is: Can I call and have someone check on the well being of the other kids in their home? Is he legally able to live in a household with kids. And he is not registered under the address that he is actually living, he registered his parents address. Can I request for the police or CPS to do a wellfare check on the children that live in the home? Is he or his brother breaking any laws? I also know that they are doing drugs on a regular basis, can I request a wellfare check on that as well to ensure that the drug and items used for drugs are not exposed to the kids(11yr & 2yr)?

Re: Biological fathers mishaps

If they're doing drugs, they are certainly breaking laws. The sex offender registration statute requires them to register the address where they live - not some other address. Report these violation to his probation officer.

Mr. Grissom is right.

These are not mishaps -- they are behaviors that have put children at risk.

You have a case. Get the case back on the docket or refile it.
