Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex boyfriend was arrested for assault against me a couple of months ago. He now wantsme to meet with his lawyer and sign a paper basically stating that it never happened. If I made a statement to the officers the night of the arrest and decide to sign the paper for him will I be held accountable for making a false statement or anything of that nature?

PROBABLY what his lawyer wants you to sign is a statement of non-prosecution; if that's what it is, it does NOT say that it never happened. Just read it before you sign it (and you may read it and decide NOT to sign it).
